IB Physics HL is generally considered more difficult than IB Physics SL, as IB Physics SL covers a set of core topics that provide a solid foundation in physics. HL covers additional topics in greater depth and requires students to have a deeper understanding of the subject. In general, both levels require a firm grasp of mathematical concepts, so students who are more mathematically skilled or have previous experience working with physics formulas may find the course less challenging.
